• A new course outline has been issued for the Communication Technician trade. See Communication Technician. (July 25, 2008)
• The expiry date of the Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator Trade Regulation has been extended to October 31, 2013. See Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator-Boom Truck, Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator-Conventional Mobile Crane, Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator-Hydraulic Mobile Crane, Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator-Mobile Crane, Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator-Tower Crane, Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator-Wellhead Boom Truck (July 3, 2008)
• The Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator-Boom Truck Exception Amendment Regulation has been extended to October 31, 2013.  See Crane and hoisting Equipment Operator-Boom Truck. (July 3, 2008)
• A new method of payment has been implemented in AIT. American Express is now accepted, along with cash, debit card, company card, certified cheque, MasterCard, money order, personal cheque and VISA. (June 26, 2008)
• The new Parts Technician trade has two branches: Parts Technician and Parts Technician-Materials Technician. The Materials Technician branch of the trade has a technical training format of 6-6-6, in each of its respective three periods. Examinations will start to roll out in September 2008 with the 1st period exam that's commom to both branches. See Parts Technician - Materials Technician. (May 28, 2008)
