Alberta-Pacific is a world leader in the forest industry, using today's best technology to produce Elemental Chlorine-Free (ECF) kraft pulp while keeping far below limits for emissions. We also practice some of the world's most innovative forest management approaches, such as ecosystem management, looking beyond the trees to the forest as a whole in order to maintain biodiversity.

Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries has been honoured by the Alberta Chamber of Commerce's Business Awards of Distinction for its outstanding commitment to working with Aboriginal communities. The northern Alberta forestry company was recognized for its efforts in establishing innovative partnerships with Aboriginal communities in order to build capacity, develop new business opportunities, and provide job and training opportunities. Alberta-Pacific was also recognized for integrating traditional Aboriginal knowledge into its operations, and for protecting traditional land uses when planning its forest management activities.

In order to better interact with communities, Alberta-Pacific established offices in Wabasca, Janvier and Ft. McMurray. Those offices offer information about the company's activities, job opportunities, education and training programs, and business development. They also provide a way for community members to share their concerns, ideas, and opinions.
