NOTICE! Criteria for AIT Scholarships have been altered to include the following:
Apprentices who are registered in trades with only 2 periods of technical training AND have completed both periods of training between July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012 are now eligible to apply for an AIT scholarship (this removes the requirement for apprentices in these trades to have one period of technical training remaining).

Applicants must also include two or three paragraphs describing themselves, including what they enjoy about their trade, why they chose a career in the trades, and how this scholarship will benefit them.
Apprentices must attend technical training in order to receive their scholarship cheque. Apprentices who chose to challenge the Apprenticeship and Industry Training exam will not be eligible for payment. Only technical training that is part of a regular Alberta apprenticeship program will be recognized for payment of scholarship awards. Click here to view the class schedule to determine if your technical training is eligible.
Selection of scholarship recipients is made by a committee established by the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board.
Recipients will be selected on the basis of their marks, employer recommendation and short description about themselves. Applicants will be notified of the status of their application by November 30, 2012.
