Half-million dollars in apprenticeship scholarships to enhance career options

Students participating in the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) may be eligible for one of the 500 RAP Scholarships of $1,000.

$ GraduateAll students who have graduated from high school in June 2009 or earlier, are registered apprentices, and plan to continue their apprenticeship training after graduation are invited to apply. Apprentices who apply for the RAP scholarship must have at least one period of technical training remaining in order to claim the scholarship.

RAP Scholarships are designed to recognize the accomplishments of Alberta high school students participating in the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP), and to encourage students to continue their apprenticeship training after completing high school.

The funds for the scholarships are provided from a joint investment of contributions from the private sector and the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund.
