They’re among the best of the best – Alberta apprentices who have demonstrated a level of skill and dedication to their trade that puts them a step above their peers.
Top Apprentice Awards honour the apprentices in each trade who achieved the highest overall marks in their final period of training, and received strong employer recommendations.
In November each year, the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) Board identifies those apprentices who scored the highest combined mark during the final period of apprenticeship training for that selection year.
To the employers of these apprentices, the AIT Board then sends a recommendation form for the employer to complete.
If the employers recommendation form complements the combined mark, that apprentice qualifies for a Top Apprentice Award.
The Top Apprentice Awards will be presented at the annual Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board Awards.
Congratulations to the people who have been recognized as top apprentices in each of their trades.
Note: Employers named reflect the employers of Top Apprentices during their final periods of apprenticeship.
