Your Payments for Service are 100% Secure

In 2014, the Government of Alberta implemented a new set of tough security rules developed by the credit card industry to protect cardholders against credit card fraud and identity theft. This new protocol, the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, means government offices have changed how they handle credit and debit card payments. For more information, visit Alberta Treasury Board and Finance.

Clients using MyTradesecrets (MTS) to apply for AIT programs or services - or existing MTS clients - can pay online through MyTradesecrets using a MasterCard, Visa or American Express credit card or pay by debit using Visa Debit or Debit Mastercard.

Clients paying in person at any AIT office may use a credit or debit card for payment.

Effective immediately:

Until September 1, 2016 cash is only accepted for payment in any AIT office under extenuating circumstances.  The acceptable methods of payment are MasterCard, Visa or American Express credit card or debit card.  After September 1, 2016 cash will not be accepted.

  • Money orders and personal cheques are not accepted.
  • Split payments (e.g. pay half of the AIT fee on Visa and the other half by debit card) are no longer accepted.
